"I'm what you call a late bloomer," he explains, settling back in his chair. "I went to college to play baseball. I could hit any ball, but I was only so-so in football. As I got better, I began to love football."

Two of the top Olympic Conference boy's bowling teams were battling it out in an American Division meet. The Cherokee Chiefs were the victims of another team finding out how good the Panthers are this season. With the 58-45 win, Camden has improved their record to 12-4 and look to be unbeatable.

Cherokee defeated Cherry Hill East 5-2 and clinched first place in Tier 2 of the SJHSIHL, but the game was marred by a brawl which forced the officials to stop play with just under three minutes remaining. It's unfortunate that a game with this much importance was cut short due to poor judgement and at times poor officiating. East scored the only goal in the opening period as Mike Danyo deflected a shot by Desrochers. Cherokee tied the game at 1-1 when Paul Caruso scored on a pass from Kyle Kelly and Pat Birney.
