By Boog Williams The Overbrook Lady Rams used scoring from 9 different players as they defeated rival Edgewood 67-33. The Lady Rams also played some good defense, as they didn't let the Eagles score any points in the first quarter. In the first quarter, Overbrook was led by #5 guard Barney and #25 forward McDevitt, as the Rams jumped out to an 18-0 led. In the second quarter, Edgewood started hitting some of their shots and the half ended Overbrook 30 - Edgewood 14. Leading the scoring for Overbrook were #8 Maeser and #3 Wooster for Edgewood it was #55 Williams and #32 Switenko. In the third quarter, Overbrook outscored Edgewood 21 to 6. Scoring for Overbrook were #15 Anderson, #5 Barney, #8 Maeser, #25 McDevitt, #4 Walsh, and #3 Wooster. Edgewood's only 6 points were scored by #32 Switenko. The third quarter ended with the score Overbrook 51 - Edgewood 20. In the fourth quarter, Overbrook scored 16 points, all by #15 Anderson and #6 McCloshey. The game ended with the score Overbrook 67 - Edgewood 33. Two other players for Edgewood scored in the game. They were #22 Jackson and #53 Morrow. Coach Ernst for Edgewood said, "Overbrook still played a good game, and I am not taking anything away from them, but you saw us have a hard time bringing the ball up the court. That comes from my 3 guards sitting out with injuries. Two have broken bones and the other a badly sprained ankle." Photos by Boog Williams
