Cheer Tech not only hosts competitions but we also run camps & clinics, teach personalized choreography routines, rent out spring floors and all the necessary equipment to host a competition.

Adversity Couldn't Keep the 'Hounds at Bay

Against all odds and many emotional setbacks, the Northern Burlington Greyhounds, out of Columbus NJ, came away the ECA Finals Champions for their division on March 19 at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. The Greyhounds won the Small Junior Recreation division which covers squads with under 20 members in the 6th through 8th grades and cheer for a sport team. The Greyhounds cheer for the Mercer County Football League.

Sure Feet and Quick Beats at American Cheer Invitational

With routines performed to an assortment of music from the pop rock sounds of the Backstreet Boys, Latino music of Ricky Martin to the hip-hop sounds of 702 and the R&B of R Kelly, the American Cheer Invitational Championships were held at Rutgers University in Camden. The diversity of the music added to the nice selection of routines offered by the teams. As usual the Cheerleading Competition demonstrated the great work and discipline these clubs and teams put into their work.

High School Cheerleading:
Spirited Competition at Olympic Conference Championship

Cheerleading teams from South Jersey area high schools came together on Sunday for the Olympic Conference Cheerleading Championship. The competition was held at Gloucester County's Washington Township High School. The Overall Championship award for the highest scoring went to Township's varsity squad, as well as 1st place in the American Division of the Olympic Conference. Second place in overall high scoring for the competition went to the Bishop Eustace Crusaders, and Eastern's Vikings took third place.

American Cheer Classic Held at Rutgers-Camden

The competition was stiff at American Cheer Classic's 1999 competition held Sunday, November 21, at Rutgers University in Camden, and the Judges had their work cut out for them with the well-trained and spirited teams presenting the fruits of their hard work and discipline.

Shawnee Cheerleading Camp

This year, girls from age 6 to 15 spent July 19-23 at Shawnee Cheerleading Camp. This was a six hour camp from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm held at Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ. Coaches Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Canale, senior varsity cheerleaders at Shawnee, and graduated Shawnee cheerleaders ran the camp.

Cheer To Success With Weight Training

Working out in the weight room with our strength coach has helped me a great deal with cheerleading in many ways. I have become a stronger person both mentally and physically. Weight training has helped me tremendously with stunting. As a base, it is important to use your legs as well as your arms. By training, my legs have become much stronger. This also helps with my jumps. Another by product of my strength program is that now my abs are stronger. It is important to have a strong middle section for jumps, as well as tumbling which is a very important part of cheerleading.

Comets Were the Stars at American Cheer Invitational

Tight fists and stiff wrists, with synchronized stunts, jumps and dance routines were the presentations of the day, as cheerleaders from the tri-state area came together at Rutgers University in Camden on Sunday. The American Cheer Invitational, which was sponsored by Shop Rite and American Cheer Express (ACE), featured cheerleaders from the grade school, middle school, junior varsity, and varsity levels.
