High School Football: Saturday, September 28, 2002 By Art Redd No team likes to lose a football game when you worked so hard during the week preparing for the next game. Rancocas Valley was looking for their second straight win at home after defeating Pennsauken. The Chiefs had a disappointing loss last week against Eastern and runningback Marc Orosz had a lot to do with Cherokee getting back on the winning track. The Chiefs' running game highlighted their 21-0 victory as Orosz had 175 rushing yards and a touchdown. |
High School Football: Saturday, September 28, 2002 By Jerome Michaels The first half of this game looked as if Delsea's football team was playing perfect football on both sides of the ball. The Crusaders offense was able to move the ball, at will, down behind the running of Darnell Ellie and Josh Reimel. But in this game against the Spartans from Deptford High School, the Delsea defense took control of this game only allowing a fourth quarter touchdown. The Crusaders' long scoring drives chewed up valuable time off the clock allowing Delsea to post a 28-8 road victory. |

High School Football: Friday, September 27, 2002 By Art Redd This was a very close battle despite what the scoreboard showed at the end of this game. Both teams had trouble sustaining a scoring drive initially as the defense took center stage in an Olympic Conference Patriot Division game between the Irish from Camden Catholic hosting the Pirates from Cinnaminson. Key mistakes from both teams halted any momentum the offense generated. Nick Cangelosi would have a good day moving the ball in the air and on the ground as he led Camden Catholic to a 23-0 win over the Pirates. |
