Haddon Heights entered this game winning their first 6 games of the season and were sitting on top of the Colonial Conference Patriot Division in front of Haddon Township. Meanwhile, West Deptford representing the Liberty Division was in second place behind the undefeated Panthers from Collingswood. Today's interdivision game watched West Deptford (6-1-0, 2-1-0) take control of this game and defeat the Lady Garnets by a 5-1 margin. This was Haddon Heights' first loss of the season.
It seemed as if West Deptford had the early edge as they were winning the individual battles to get into scoring position. Haddon Heights (6-1-0, 3-0-0) kept the pressure on, but the Lady Eagles responded in a big way. Chelsea Cipriani and Justine Kania were successful in this game as both netted two goals each. Brittany Stewart also scored for West Deptford as they dominated the play in front of their home crowd. Sam Papa would score the lone goal for Haddon Heights.
Next up for Haddon Heights are two home games with Camden Catholic on Monday and Paulsboro on Wednesday. West Deptford has the next five games at home starting with Shawnee, Sterling, Lindenwold, Audubon and Haddon Township.
