![]() Albert J. Carino Boy's Basketball All-Star Game Saturday, March 31, 2001 By Gregory "Graig" White Today at Rutgers University at Camden, some of the best graduating high school basketball players got together and competed one last time against each other. A game of this type can create all kinds of thoughts in the heads of athletes, the one thought that is prevalent is no one wants to be embarrassed. There were some embarrassing moments but on the whole was a well played game. That speaks volumes to the ability of the coaches to make teams out of athletes that may have played a more prominent role on their own teams. |

Dajuan Wagner and the Panthers woke up and finally put away a close game with a 57-46 win. The first half of this game was a very low scoring event that seemed to give Middle Township and their fans the momentum. |

High School Basketball: Camden Defeats St. Augustine at Liacouras Center Sunday, January 14, 2001 By Gregory "Graig" White As I travel over the Benjamin Franklin bridge, on my way to the Liacouras Center in Philly to watch the top teams in South Jersey play, the anticipation of the type of game I was to see was thought provoking. I hadn't seen either team all season was going on the hype I had been hearing. |
![]() Wagner Brings Show And Fans To Edgewood; Scores 52 Tuesday, January 9, 2001 By Boog Williams On Tuesday, Dajuan Wagner and the top ranked Camden Panthers tapped off against the Eagles of Edgewood. The stands were packed, with standing room only. Both sides of the court bleachers were pulled out for the spectators and every seat was taken. An announcement was made that you probably should not leave your seat at half time because it might not be there for you when you came back. DaJuan scored 52 points (5 from 3 point land), but it was a sloppy 52 (if you could believe it) in Camden's 85 to 64 win. |
