![]() Haddonfield's Sobolewski Leads Lady Bulldawgs Saturday, January 19, 2002 By Jerome Michaels There's a starting guard at Haddonfield High School that's enjoyable to watch on the basketball court. The Lady Bulldawgs went right to work in the first quarter establishing their lead and never looked back. Sophomore Julie Sobolewski scored 12 points in the initial quarter to roll past Haddon Heights 64-36 in conference play. Haddonfield remained on top of the Colonial Conference with no loses to their conference record. |
Event Spotlight: Wings Weather Storm in New Jersey WINGS Win 17-15 Contest Over Expansion New Jersey Saturday, January 19, 2002 By Jennifer Stefani The defending National Lacrosse League champion Philadelphia Wings' weathered a winter storm of their own as they came back from a five goal deficit to defeat the New Jersey Storm by a score of 17-15. This afternoon's game marks the first time that the Wings have faced the expansion New Jersey Storm. The Wings improve their record to 3-3 after the weekend as they head home to take on the Buffalo Bandits this Friday, January 25 at the First Union Center at 7:30 p.m. |
![]() Sterling Withholds Haddonfield's Rally Thursday, January 17, 2002 By Art Redd There were two undefeated teams in the Colonial Conference that battled hard not to get that first loss of the season in league play. Haddonfield traveled to Sterling's new gymnasium with their loyal fans looking to move on top of their conference. Pat Bentley did everything he could to come away with a road victory, but the Knights worked together for a 5 point win. Bentley and Sterling's Dan Terrell showed why these teams remain on top the Colonial Conference. Sterling posted a 69-63 win to remain undefeated. |

![]() Camden Catholic Remains Undefeated With Win Tuesday, January 15, 2002 By Art Redd When reviewing this game, looking at the standings Pennsauken Tech was only one game behind Camden Catholic in the Olympic Conference American Division. Once the game started, there was a big difference in size and the score between these two teams. Camden Catholic were able to dominated the interior to walk away easy against the Tornadoes from Pennsauken Tech. The Irish never let their opponent gain any momentum in their 73-29 home victory. |
![]() Three Goals in Second Period Propel Cinnaminson Monday, January 14, 2002 By Mike Costantino Brian Crosby score two goals in sixty seconds in the second period to snap a 1-1 tie to lead Cinnaminson to a 6-2 win over Rancocas Valley in a game played in Voorhees on Monday night. Anthony Asciutto scored the only goal of the first period to give Cinnaminson a 1-0 lead. After Kyle Aaronson tied the score on the power play, Cinnaminson broke the game open scoring three goals in a span of two minutes. Crosby accounted for two of those goals. |
![]() Sabol, Dragum Lead Cherokee into First Monday, January 14, 2002 By Mike Costantino Chris Sabol stopped forty-four shots and Jason Dragum netted a hat trick as Cherokee defeated Clearview 6-5 on Monday at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. With the win Cherokee moved into a first place tie with Clearview, but Clearview has a game in hand. With the game having a playoff atmosphere, Cherokee controlled the first period. Dragum scored his first goal less than a minute into the game as Pat Henderson, who assisted on all three Dragum goals, stole the puck in the corner and fed Dragum in the slot and Cherokee led 1-0. Anthony Diorio made it 2-0, putting home a rebound of a shot by Dave Walters. |
