High School Wrestling: Camden Catholic Easily Captures Sectional Title Thursday, February 14, 2002 By Vincent Lewis One by one St. Augustine sent their wrestlers out on the mat to compete against the Fighting Irish from Camden Catholic. Both teams were looking to capture the South Jersey Parochial B Title, but it would be Camden Catholic (23-2-1) who would dominate the match from the beginning to tie their school record for wins in a season. The Irish never let St. Augustine get a strong hold on them as they won the first 10 bouts before the Hermits recorded their first team points. Camden Catholic manhandled St. Augustine 58- 7 to win the match and now have their sites set on capturing the state title. |
