High School Ice Hockey: Sunday, December 7, 2003 By Mike Costantino Ryan Jesz turned away twelve shots as Rancocas Valley JVB team defeated Cinnaminson 2-0 in action played in Pensauken. The freshman sensation continued his torrid play as his 1.16 goals against average and 92.5 save percentage are amongst the league leaders. Will Corke scored both Rancocas goals, in the first period and Jesz made them stand. Next up for Rancocas is a meeting with Delran at the Igloo in Mt. Laurel. |

Ice Hockey Spotlight: Friday, December 5, 2003 By Al Cohen Ajay Baines scored two power-play goals and Steve Passmore stopped 29 shots as the Norfolk Admirals ended the Philadelphia Phantoms' eight-game unbeaten streak tonight with a 2-0 victory at the Wachovia Spectrum. Passmore made 14 saves over the first two periods and turned aside all 15 Phantoms shots in the third to notch his second shutout of the season. The Admirals won for just the third time in their last 11 games, ended a five-game road winless streak and assumed a 2-1-1 lead in the season series. The Admirals and Phantoms will meet again on Saturday night in Norfolk. |

While reading this book I never got the sense that it was written for me, I got the sense that Mr. Kinakin was writing for another type of audience. This book, which also came with DVD, was difficult to follow and at times very frustrating. |
Ice Hockey Spotlight: Thursday, December 4, 2003 By Al Cohen The Philadelphia Phantoms scored three times in the opening period tonight and cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Hershey Bears at the GIANT Center, extending their unbeaten streak to eight games. Rookie Randy Jones recorded a goal and an assist, while fellow rookie Jeff Woywitka and captain Boyd Kane each added two assists for Philadelphia, which is 7-0-1 since its last loss on Nov. 15 at Bridgeport. It is the Phantoms' longest unbeaten streak since collecting four wins and four ties from Jan. 20-Feb. 6, 2002. |

High School Ice Hockey: Monday, December 1, 2003 By Mike Costantino Sean Sullivan scored four goals and Joey Johnston added two as Eastern stunned Rancocas Valley with an 11-1 thrashing at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Coming into the game having suffered just one loss, Rancocas was out to prove that their record was no fluke. However, Eastern scored four goals in the first period and never looked back. The Vikings took advantage of defensive breakdowns capitalizing on odd-man rushes and converting power play opportunities. |
Soccer Spotlight: Monday, December 1, 2003 By David Deal The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that Philadelphia KiXX forward Goran Vasic has been named the MISL Offensive Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending November 30. Vasic receives the award after registering a team-high six points in the club’s back-to-back contests this past weekend. The native of Belgrade, Yugoslavia kicked-off the back-to-back series with four points on three goals and one assist as the KiXX downed the Kansas City Comets, 13-8, in Kansas City on November 28. The six-year veteran continued his hot foot with a team-high two points, both assists, in the club’s 3-2 loss in San Diego on November 29. |
