High School Girls Lacrosse: Saturday, June 7, 2003 By Charlie Barker The Moorestown Lady Quakers added "four-pete" to their trophy case as they dominated West Essex to win the NJSIAA girls lacrosse state championship. They saved their best game for last in the 15-1 victory at Rutgers' Yurcak Field in Piscataway, and they did it in a pouring rain. Even more remarkable is that Moorestown's senior class finished their four years only experiencing one loss (a 6-5 loss on May 17 to St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School of Alexandria, VA). |
South Jersey Training: Friday, June 6, 2003 By Art Redd Jr. Described by those who know him as a man that gets things done, I thought this would be a good opportunity to talk with the Graig White, Director of Performance Enhancement at Rutgers University at Camden and Founder of Team Conditioning Systems and find out what it's like to train, learn and just hang out with him. |
High School Baseball: Tuesday, June 3, 2003 By Vincent Lewis Gloucester Catholic was not happy with just making it to the South Jersey Parochial B championship game. The Rams won a very competitive game against Bishop Eustace on Saturday by rallying their way into the finals. This game would bring them one step away from adding another title for their school and a very successful coaching staff led by Dennis Barth. The players would responded in a big way late in their game against St. Rose at Washington Township scoring two runs in the sixth inning. Those runs would give Gloucester Catholic a 4-2 win and send the Rams on the field in celebration. |
