Unkle The following players are considered the top candidates for the 2002 Outland Trophy, which is presented by the Football Writers Association of America to the top interior lineman in college football each season. The winner of the 2002 Outland Trophy will be announced Dec. 12 on the ESPN College Football Awards Show from Orlando, Fla. Three finalists will be selected by the FWAA All-America Committee in late November and will appear on the show. |
Event Spotlight: Phantoms Sign Former Boston University Standout Jack Baker to AHL Contract Friday, August 9, 2002 By Al Cohen The Philadelphia Phantoms today announced the signing of right wing Jack Baker to an American Hockey League contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed. Baker, 22, joins the Phantoms after a solid four-year career at Boston University, where he totaled 43 goals and 48 assists in 137 games. As a senior last season, he ranked second on the team in points (28), goals (15) and shots (99), and tied for first in game-winning goals (3). |
