South Jersey Cross Country: Saturday, December 4, 1999
PRESS RELEASE
On Saturday, December 4, the South Jersey Track Club (SJTC) captured 3rd place in the (Bantam-Boy) 9-10 year old division at the recent AAU Cross Country National Championship in Lexington, Kentucky. The team was lead by 9 year old Dale Holzer from Erial, Brandon Smith of Marlton, Michael "Scooby" Murray of Sicklerville, Zach Holzer, Dale's older brother, Kevin Shickling, Marlton and Kevin Cronin of Linwood. SJTC departed New Jersey on Thursday, Dec 2 and returned from Kentucky on Sunday, Dec. 6 having made a statement that in 3 short years, they have become one of the premier youth cross country programs in the nation.

High School Ice Hockey: Friday, December 3, 1999

Clearview scored three power play goals in the third period, five overall, and remained undefeated by defeating Eastern 7-3 at Hollydell on Friday night. With the victory Clearview not only remains undefeated, but also should remain so until the last two games of the season when they play Township in back-to-back games. Eastern suffered its second loss of the season, both to Clearview and would need a lot of help to finish in first place.

Bob Young, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, faced off against Comcast SportsNet's Pete Christy in a bubble hockey game for the "I Beat Pete" segment of the SportsNite cable news show. The event took place in Mt. The men's 30 and over roller hockey league entered its fourth week of competition at the Mega Sports Center in Runnemede, NJ. The Mad Dogs posted their first win of the season by defeating the Nightmares 5-2 in the D ball league.
