The Minutemen did something that most teams haven't done in a while. Washington Township ended the six game winning streak by Cherry Hill East to advance to the Group 4 quarterfinal game against Atlantic City. Township was able to find a way, for the third time this season, to handle the defense of the Cougars and defeat them 45-42. This game marked the return of Jeff Klauder who had been sidelined with an injury to his right leg for almost two months. His key free throws at the end of the game help seal the victory.

Moorestown didn't have any problems with Kingsway in their opening round playoff game. The Quakers jumped out to a 15-4 first quarter score and cruised to a 19-point victory. Kingsway was forced to shoot mostly perimeter shots with Moorestown's tight 2-3 defense. The Dragons could not convert on most of their outside shots which made it extremely hard to stage a comeback against Moorestown. This was just a tune-up game for the Quakers where they would travel to a much tougher West Deptford team in the quarterfinals. The home crowd enjoyed every minute of the 58-37 Moorestown victory.
