High School Volleyball: Monday, September 30, 2002 By Crystal Parker The Lady Quakers from Moorestown were hosting a non-league girl's volleyball match against the Cougars from Cherry Hill East. Both of these teams were coming off of easy wins Friday and were looking to play well against a better opponent. The starting captains during this match were Cortney Wallace, Colette Blankenship and Rachel Johnston from Moorestown and Diana Maciunas and Elyse Mitchell from Cherry Hill East. The Lady Cougars (4-1, 2-1) had the momentum during this match and cruised past Moorestown winning both games 15-4, 15-10. |
High School Volleyball: Lady Vikings Capture 8th Viking Invitational Saturday, September 14, 2002 By John Daglian The 8th annual Viking invitational Girls Volleyball tournament was held at Eastern High School. This tournament normally features several of the top Group 4 schools in the state. This year the participating schools were Eastern, Cherry Hill East, Cherry Hill West, Memorial, Columbia, Fairlawn, Wayne Hills, Hackensack, West Windsor South and Clifton. |
