Cherry Hill East Boys & Girls Win Division A, Haddonfield & Mainland Split Division B

Cherry Hill East used its depth to take home the Boys Division A title at the SJISA Coaches Invitational swim meet. The Cougar boys won the 200 medley relay, Ryan Shore won the 100 backstroke, and the rest of the team placed in the top six of every other event to edge out Holy Spirit by 10 points. The Spartans, who won the meet last year, came away with wins in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, and got individual wins by Nick Steffanci in the 50 freestyle and Jon Stinson in the 100 breaststroke.

The Lady Cougars also won with their depth, beating Shawnee by 23 points without winning a single event to collect the Girls Division A title.

In Division B, it was the Mainland boys who edged Haddonfield by 4 points for the surprise win. The Mustangs used two individual wins by Bryan Rahter in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle along with strong performances in the other events to push them over the top.

The Haddonfield girls held off the Lady Mustangs with a win in the 200 medley relay, and with individual wins by Susan Skros in the 100 butterfly and Emily Weigand in the diving competition to win the Division B title by 13 points.
