Waterford Twp. Wins Division Playoffs

With their best-of-three SJGSA Junior Patriot Division playoff series tied at 1 game each, Stratford traveled to Waterford Twp. for the third game Monday night.

Stratford scored 3 runs in the first to Waterford's 1. In the top of the 3rd inning with the score 4 to 2 Stratford, Waterford scored 5 runs on key hits by Sarah Duckett, a 2 run triple, and Sarah Longino, with a double scoring 3 RBIs, making it a 9 to 4 Waterford lead.

Sarah Longino shut down Stratford's bats for the rest of the game, preserving the 9 to 5 win. Waterford Twp. is the 1999 SJGSA Junior Patriot Division Champion. Thanks to all the girls for a great season.
