After Tough Week, Berlin Township #2 Wins Two

After a week of back to back losses and then the rain taking away a game, the girls were ready to start swinging the bats and throwing the ball. The first game was on Saturday, May 22 against Berlin Boro and the second game was Tuesday, May 25 against Clementon. The makeup game because of rain is tentatively scheduled to be played on June 1.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Berlin Township #2 played Berlin Boro at Berlin Township. Berlin Township got the win with the great play of the following players: S. Immendorf, S. Lemm, M. Pigliacelli, T. Beaver, K. Villano, B. Basques, B. Garrison, and K. McKelvey.

On Tuesday, at Berlin Township, Clementon's Blue Angles came to play. Berlin Township #2, with hot bats, hitting the ball all over and both teams making some nice force outs. Berlin Township was led by the following players: D. Lemm, M. Foster, M. Williams, M. Terilla, M. Dotts, K. Rodrigues, C. Turnball, and E. LaRosa.

The players and fans of the 7-8 girl's softball league would like to thank all the Coaches and Umps for giving their time in helping the girls learn the game of Softball. Berlin Township fans would like to thank Coaches Debbie, Jackie, Donna, and Kim for all their work this season.
