South Jersey Softball: Saturday, April 24, 1999
By Gina Jarrell What a glorious day to play softball. Opening day for the BTAA turned out to be a perfect sun filled day. A day that saw two girls rookie softball teams of players between the ages of 7 and 8 meet, some playing for the first time. A day filled with fun, laughter, and of course some good pitching, hitting, and running. Team Sundae Drivers played Berlin Township Team 2. The final score was 9-8 in favor of Township Team 2. For the Sundae Drivers, S. Mills hit a triple and A. Jarrell hit a double. Pitching was done by J. Bloom and she was hot. Great defense was played by M. Sparks and K. Shainline. Even Coach Gina learned a few lessons from Umpire Tom Foster. Thanks Ump! The Sundae Drivers schedule is as follows:
Come out and watch the girls (and coaches) learn as they have fun. Photos by Gina Jarrell
