The South Jersey Barons went to work early on in this game effectively sealing the win after 12 minutes. They got of to a flying start and never looked back as they continued to pound the Vermont goal all game. Five Barons players got on the score sheet. First Tony Donatelli (Temple/Glendale, PA) volleyed home a cross from left winger Justin Saddler (Drexel/Philadlephia PA). Saddler turned from goal provider to goal scorer when he lashed a fierce drive that bulged the net. After Saddlers goal the Barons got a little lazy and let the Voltage back into the game until Bryon Carmicheal (Marshall/Lumberton, NJ) notched his third of the season after another great cross from Justin Saddler. Vermont then seized their chance after a period of continued pressure and slack defending by the Barons they worked the ball to captain Bo Simic who beat Pat Hannigan with a sweet side footed shot.
The second half went according to plan for the Barons they continued to attack the Voltage and got a deserved goal when Neil Holloway dribbled through 4 players and then beat the keeper. It was quiet easily the goal of the game and a contender for goal of the season. In the 60th minute the Barons were awarded a penalty as Ruben Mingo was chopped in the box. However Holloway, who had scored the winning goal from a penalty the game before against Cape Cod had his weak shot saved by James Everall.
The non-stop action continued and the Barons kept rolling as Ruben Mingo cleverly clipped the ball over the advancing Everall to make it 5-1. In the 80th minute Carmicheal got his fourth of the season after he was released by Brian Devlin (Penn State/Philadelphia,PA) Carmicheal now leads the team in scoring with 4 goals and one assist.

The Barons are in action again tomorrow night in the 1st round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup against Allied SC from Baltimore. The game is at Winslow High School at 6.00pm.
