By Boog Williams In the opening game of the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup, the women of Brazil defeated Costa Rica 8-0 at the Hersheypark Stadium in the Chocolate Capital of the World, Hershey, PA. At the end of the first half, the score was 3-0 in favor of Brazil. In the second half, at the 50 minute mark, Katia, #9, scored with an assist to Roseli, #24. Roseli scored the fifth goal and second goal of the night, at the 60 minute mark with an assist to Tania, #6. The sixth goal was scored on a corner restart as Sissi, #10, crossed the ball to Monica, #20, as she headed into the back of the net. Sissi scored the eighth goal in the 80 minute mark with an assist to Formiga, #8. Maycon, #21, scored the final goal of the game for Brazil with an assist to Tania, #6. This ended the game with the score Brazil 8 - Costa Rica 0. Photos by Boog Williams
