South Jersey Soccer: Saturday, October 2, 1999
By Brian Law The first game had the high powered offense of Xerox against powerful Berlin Rotary. The game went end to end for the first half. Rotary's T. Beaver hit the post to end the half at 0-0. The second half belonged to Xerox opening scorer by C. Steiner.Then D. Law deposited 3 goals for the hat trick and player of the game. J. Voigt recorded the shutout with help from M.Patterson. Rotary's K.Hackman and K. Rhodes played a wonderful game. Xerox wins 4-0. Click here for photos from Game 1 (9:00 AM). The second game was a tough battle between AEF and NTI. The first quarter had AEF's M. Laganella and B. Bright hitting the cross bar. NTI open the scoring when R.Sheehan scored his first goal.AEF went to M. Wozny as there goalie and she made save after save to keep it close. R. Sheehan then scored his second goal. NTI's A.Romeo,S. Starkovski supported team NTI to record the win 2-0.
