Philadelphia Wings forward Dan Finck captured Rookie of the Week honors for his three-goal performance in the Wings 15-12 win over the Colorado Mammoth on Friday, March 18. This is Finck's second Rookie of the Week award, the first coming after his five-point (3G, 2A) performance against the Minnesota Swarm on March 5.
"I'm really pleased how our rookies have contributed this season," said Wings Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "We've had (Andrew) Burkholder get a few rookie awards and now Finck. The way they've played these past few weeks has coincided with our team's success the last six weeks."
The 5'10", 190-pound Finck has recorded fourteen points (4G, 10A) in ten games played for the Wings this season. Finck was acquired by the Wings in the second round (14th overall) in the 2004 NLL Entry Draft.
The Wings return to action against the Toronto Rock on Saturday, April 2 at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. This game was originally scheduled to be the Wings home opener on Saturday, January 22, but was postponed due to a snowstorm.
