The Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier outdoor lacrosse league, faced the Rochester Rattlers for the second time this season tonight at Villanova Stadium in front of 2,614 fans. Rochester broke Philadelphia’s two game winning streak and put a damper on their playoff dreams with a final score of 14-10. Andrew “Buggs” Combs was named Bud Light MVP for his six-goal game tonight.

The Rattlers opened up the game with a goal at 11:22. The Barrage’s B.J. Prager answered back scoring the only goal of the quarter. Rochester went on a four-goal run to round out the first. Combs scored three of the five goals for the Rattlers. Philadelphia had a better second quarter with a run of four goals but it wasn’t good enough. Rochester outscored Philadelphia six to four and the score at the end of the first half was Philadelphia five, Rochester 11.

Philadelphia tired for a second half come back but it wasn’t enough. Philadelphia did outscore Rochester in the third quarter three to one and in the fourth two to one. Despite an excellent attempt to gain the lead, the Barrage fell to the Rattlers. Philadelphia was looking for a win tonight to have the tiebreaker over the Rattlers to help them in the post season.
