Ice Hockey Spotlight: Phantoms Announce Preseason Schedule First-ever Match-up vs. Trenton Highlights Four-game Exhibition Slate Thursday, September 2, 2004 By Al Cohen The first-ever match-up against the Trenton Titans highlights the Philadelphia Phantoms' 2004 preseason schedule, which was released today. The Phantoms will play three of their four exhibition games in the Philadelphia/Trenton area. The preseason schedule commences on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m., when Philadelphia hosts the Albany River Rats at the Polonia Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia. The teams will then meet again on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at the New Jerseys Devils' practice facility, South Mountain Arena, in West Orange, N.J. Philadelphia is back in action at home on Friday, Oct. 8 at 5:00 p.m., when they take on the Norfolk Admirals at the Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J. The preseason schedule then wraps up on Monday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m., when the Phantoms take on the Trenton Titans at Sovereign Bank Arena. The Titans have served as Philadelphia's ECHL affiliate since their inception in 1999, helping to develop current Phantoms Ben Stafford, Mark Murphy, B.J. Abel and Nick Deschenes, as well as former Phantoms like Ruslan Fedotenko, Jesse Boulerice and Todd Fedoruk. The Phantoms' preseason games at the two Flyers Skate Zones are open to the public and cost $10 per person, with a portion of the proceeds going to youth hockey programs.
