Medford In House Team Blue Defeats Team White

On Sunday, two of Medford Ice Rink's in house hockey teams faced off. It was the White team against the Blue Team, a mix of boys and girls. The Blue team won by a final score of 4-2.

The game was a very hard, but cleanly played game. There was only one penalty. The first period was dominated by the Blue team. The White team's goalie, #1 kept them in the game as the period ended 2-1 in favor of Blue. The White team scored again in the 2nd period with the only power play of the game. In the third period, the Blue's #4 took over the game with powerful skating and helped the Blue team to a 4-2 victory. A rout was avoided by the White team's goalie, who came up with some great saves.

In the tradition of sportsmanship, the two teams met at center ice to shake hands after the game.
