South Jersey Ice Hockey: Sunday, April 2, 2000
By Andrea Berenato The Ice Cats Womens Ice Hockey Club wins the Tri-State Women's Hockey League Championship !!! After having a tremendous season at 15-2-1, the Ice Cats went on to beat the South Jersey Demons Womens Ice Hockey team 8-2 Sunday night at the Ice Works in Aston, PA. The Ice Cats had a whooping total of 46 shots on goal to the SJ Demons 15. The TWHL is a women's hockey league of "C" level (beginner level) teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The five teams are: Aston Outlaws, Delco Sting, Concordville Crunch, Ice Cats, South Jersey Demons, South Jersey Firebirds, and Central Penn Blades.
