The Williamstown Braves struggled early with Highland but scored four goals in the second period on the way to a 7-1 victory at Hollydell on Friday night in the final regular season game for both teams. Justin Osterdahl and Tyler Dornewass scored twice for the Braves and Mike Zelaskey scored the lone goal for Highland. After a scoreless first period in which both teams had nine shots on goal, Dornewass and Osterdahl scored goals in the opening two minutes of the second period. Dornewass started the scoring right after the face-off and with Highland on the power play Osterdahl anticipated a cross-ice pass and intercepted the puck and his breakaway goal put the Braves up 2-0.
Midway through the period, Tom Ruiz made it 3-0 and kept working until he found himself in close and deposited the puck in the net. Dennis Cunard scored in the last seven seconds to give the Braves a 4-0 lead. After Osterdahl scored in the opening minute of the third period to give Williamstown a 5-0 lead, Highland broke the shut out as Zelaskey scored on a break. Goals by Andrew Lima and Dornewass closed out the scoring and Williamstown finished the season 9-5-4.
