It was a game that both teams played well enough to come away with the win. Excellent team play, stick control and aggressive play could seen at Haddonfield were the Bulldogs were hosting West Deptford in a Colonial Conference Liberty Division field hockey game. This was the second time these two teams have met and for the second time, Haddonfield had the answers in defeating the Lady Eagles. Working together as a single unit on the field, Haddonfield’s defense was able to preserve a 1-0 lead during the second half and remain undefeated.
Seven games into the season, the Lady Bulldogs were tested game after game with teams looking to hand them their first loss of the season. Goalie Christina Puggi has been coming up with saves against Haddon Heights and West Deptford early on this season. With another chance to prove that the first time these two teams met that only one goal is needed to win, Puggi came up big again this time on their home field. Meredith Sabatini, who has demonstrated the ability to get that first goal of the game, did so yet again. From that point on, it would be the goalies that highlight this game.
