High School Field Hockey: West Deptford Ends Rancocas Valley's Winning Streak Monday, October 13, 2003 By Susan Hall SJSports Special Correspondent Two good field hockey teams got a chance to play a team they normally would not have met during the regular season. Rancocas Valley were rolling through their schedule looking to extend their eight game unbeaten streak that included winning six games in a row. On the other hand, West Deptford had their four game winning streak ended by Shawnee last week and were looking to rebound. Allison Green scored the only goal needed as the Lady Eagles posted a non-league 3-0 victory. Rewarded with that all-important corner, Chelsea Cipriani found Green who made good on her shot with 25:12 showing on the first half clock giving West Deptford a 1-0 advantage. The score would remain that way for the rest of the first half and majority of the second half until 5:21 remaining in the game. Justine Kania tapped in a goal off of a shot by Brittany Gibbs.
