Brandon Jackmoff netted three goals, Dan Markley and Brad Clifford added two goals and an assist as West Deptford doubled up Holy Cross 8-4 in a Tier 2 game played at Hollydell on Friday night. Clifford opened the scoring after just sixteen seconds into the game as Doug Dehart and Markley set him up and his quick goal gave Deptford the 1-0 lead. About four minutes later, Steve Wade made it 2-0 as Foster fired a cross-ice pass and Wade fired the puck into the net. Markley's first goal put Deptford up 3-0 heading into the second period.
The second period was all Jackmoff as he scored two short-handed and one power play goal using his speed and size to create numerous chances. With Holy Cross on the power play early in the second period and a chance to climb back in the game, Jackmoff came flying out of his own end and sped by the defense all alone and scored to make it 4-0. After Scott Burns scored for Holy Cross to make it 4-1, Markley and Jackmoff scored one minute apart. The later on the power play and Deptford led 6-1.
Clifford and Jackmoff sandwiched around a goal by Holy Cross forward Ryan Potosky built the lead to 8-2 heading into the third period. Goals by Sean Gallagher and Sean Burns made the score closer for Holy Cross but Deptford prevailed 8-4.
