Bordentown Continues To Push On

There are several obstacles that teams must overcome in order to improve on their accomplishments. The Scotties from Bordentown were participating in their fourth Burlington County League Patriot Division game of the season and Westampton Tech was the next team on their schedule. Bordentown would be looking to extend their winning streak to two games in a row after their loss to division leading Burlington City, a team that continues to stand in their way. The Scotties’ defense took control of this game but their offense would be the reason they won it. Three players finished in double figures as Bordentown posted an 82-38 win over the Panthers.

Teams are always comparing themselves to their previous year's success or disappointments. But the common goal by players and the coaching staff is how to become better that last year. The effort on the court can determine how pleased or frustrated a coach could be while watching their team performs on the court. In a very competitive boy's basketball game at the Moorestown Invitational, the Quakers would own a two point lead at the break. Westampton Tech would jump out to a lead heading into the final quarter and hold off Moorestown to advance to the finals. Tech would defeat Moorestown 42-38 and give their coach something to smile about.

Burlington City Controls Contest and Division

It's always easier to say what needs to be done in order to win a game, but doing it is another story. Burlington City just happened to execute the game plan by jumping out to an early lead and switching the tempo of what was supposed to be a very close game into their favor. Westampton Tech had won their first 9 games to start the season and the Blue Devils would move into first place in the Burlington County Patriot Division with a win. City's first quarter success was the key to their 69-46 win against the Panthers.
