Washington Township spotted Shawnee a 1-0 lead and took over fifteen penalties but still rallied to win 6-2 in a game played at Hollydell on Friday evening. With the win, Township still remained undefeated in league play. George McGinnis scored the only goal of the first period to give Shawnee the 1-0 lead after lifting a back-hander into the net after five minutes were played. With Township playing sluggish and taking some ill-advised penalties, Shawnee had a two-man advantage for a full two minutes late in the period and failed to capitalize.
Midway through the second period Township tied the game on a goal by Billy Verdecchio. His goal was one of six different goal scorers for Township. Just over a minute later, Nick Martorano scored short-handed to give Township the lead for good at 2-1. Later in the period with Township on the power play, Martorano fed a cross ice pass to Eric Marano who one-timed the puck into the net and Township led 3-1 heading into the third period.
Adam Zaccaria and Davies scored early in the third to put the game out of reach at 6-1. Jordan Kudatzky scored with five minutes remaining for Shawnee to close out the scoring at 6-2.
