The Lady Mustangs from Triton knew it was going to be a tough beginning to their field hockey season. With their first three games being played away from their home field, Triton would be matched up against Shawnee, Cherokee and Pennsauken. Looking for that change of scenery and the comforts of home, the Mustangs would take on the Rams from Overbrook in a non-league game. One goal was more than enough as four different players scored goals for Triton to shutout Overbrook. Keeper Jessica DeChristopher would not allow a goal in this game.
Both of these teams have had a rough start to their new season and both teams had a chance to pick up their first win of the season. But on this day, Triton would use a balanced attack to take over this game early. The Lady Mustangs received goals from Alexis Marmarou, Lindsey LaMonica, Brittany Castelli and Caitlin Concannon. Both teams played hard on the field, but this day belonged to Triton.
