The Triton Mustangs just did not quit even when they were down by a goal against a Paul VI girl’s soccer team that has established themselves as a successful program. Playing at home, the Lady Mustangs had an entire second half to hold onto their lead. Ashley Juavinett would tie and then score the go ahead goal in the first half. Karen Campanella would assist on the game-winning goal that helped Triton defeat Paul VI by a 2-1 score in an Olympic Conference National Division meeting.
It has not been easy for Triton so far this season. In the games that they were expected to win, the Mustangs would dominate. Their first 2 victories of the season, Triton scored a total of twelve goals and allowing none against Egg Harbor Township and St. Joseph. Against Cherry Hill West and Bishop Eustace, both in their division, they have recorded their loses evening their record. So when Paul VI arrived, it was yet another challenge that Triton was happy to come out on top.
