Sean Johnson and Scott Schanne had two goals and an assist and Mike Staszewski had a goal and two assists to lead the Sterling Knights over Collingswood 7-1 at Hollydell on Friday night. Staszewski opened the scoring, on the power play as he deposited a rebound off a Steve Marshall shot and beat Collingswood goalie Wiedmann topside for the 1-0 lead. Wiedmann was spectacular and the lone bright spot as he made numerous point blank saves.

Johnson made it 2-0 late in the first with Schanne and Staszewski assisting. Through one period, Collingswood could only muster two shots on goal and if not for Wiedmann would have been further behind. Schanne and Johnson both scored on breakaways to double the lead to 4-0 and again through two periods the shots were 20-4. Early in the third period Schanne rebounded a Marshall miss and made it 5-0. Collingswood finally broke through at the ten-minute mark as Armstrong scored off a feed from Joe Pavlow to close the gap to 5-1. However goals by Jim Mohan and Dom Spiro ended any thoughts of a comeback and made the final 7-1.
