The second day of the Olympic-Cape Challenge for the boy's basketball team competition finally got underway at Hammonton High School. Originally schedule for Sunday, February 16th, the completion of the battle between the Olympic Conference teams against the Cape Atlantic Conference completed late today with five of the six games played were very competitive. The games that were covered were Camden Catholic having little problems defeating Holy Spirit, Timber Creek falling short against St. Joseph, Woodrow Wilson cruising by Wildwood Catholic and St. Augustine slipping by Winslow Township game.
St. Augustine roared past the Eagles who had established a comfortable lead through two quarters. The Hermits began chipping away at Winslow Township’s double-digit lead late in the third quarter and took the lead late in the final quarter. St. Augustine would hold to their 63-60 win and continue their successful winning season.
