High School Lacrosse: West Deptford Dominates Second Half Thursday, April 13, 2006 By Clark Washington SJSports Special Correspondent Just two days ago, St. Augustine Prep boys' lacrosse team celebrated picking up their first win of the season by defeating Winslow Township. That momentum would carry over against their game at West Deptford where the Hermits would hold a 2-1 lead at halftime against the undefeated Eagles. Austin Tracey and Max Voumard scored back to back goals before halftime for St. Augustine. But the second half would be a different out for West Deptford as they received three goals from Matt Nicolosi and three goals from Steve Helmuth and outscore their opponent 10-1. High School Basketball: Haddonfield Passes another Test against St. Augustine Saturday, February 19, 2005 By Jason Brown SJSports Special Correspondent When you are sitting on top of the standings, other teams are always looking for ways to knock you down or in this case, hand you another loss to the season. For the Bulldogs from Haddonfield, they’re not use to losing and their record shows it. Matched up in the Cherry Hill East Invitational, St. Augustine was the next test for Haddonfield to pass as the Hermits have proved to themselves that they had what it takes to win the big game. St. Augustine’s game plan took a different twist when Brian Zoubek, the seven foot one center, was out of the game due to foul trouble. High School Basketball: St. Augustine Stays Perfect Against Bridgeton Saturday, January 8, 2005 By Jason Brown SJSports Special Correspondent The Hermits continues to demonstrate how to play good basketball at the start of this season and it shows with their winning record and rankings. With a very good offensive attack and solid defense, the Hermits have gotten a lot of high school basketball fans’ attention with their 7-0 start. Their latest victory was against Bridgeton who had watched the Hermits break this game open in the second quarter.
