Pennsauken and Highland Square Off in Scrimmage

Pennsauken recently hosted Highland in a football scrimmage. With most teams starting the 2003 football season in less than two weeks, this scrimmage gave players a chance to work on plays and skills in a game like environment. The final score of this scrimmage was not important as both coaching staffs were more interested in the execution of individual plays.
Pennsauken has a new head coach this year in Reggie Lawrence. Coach Lawrence, who is trying to return a winning tradition to the Indians football program, has spent much of the summer evaluating talent on his team. Robert Darby probably caught the eye of Coach Lawrence during this scrimmage with two touchdown runs, both of which were over 50 yards. Matthew Wilson had several long runs for Pennsauken. Russell Love and Will Brown also added touchdown runs for the Indians.
Ray Reca is beginning his third season as head coach of the Highland Tartans. Coach Reca had to be impressed with Anthony Dominick's pass reception in heavy coverage. Joe Desilvestro had a touchdown run for the Tartans.
Pennsauken has one more scrimmage, and then the Indians will start the 2003 season by hosting Washington Township on September 13th. Highland has two scrimmages remaining before they start the 2003 season by hosting Delsea on September 19th.
