Overbrook's Doug Tolman was a man on a mission in search of their team's first win of their boy's soccer season. The Rams were hosting the Highland Tartans, also looking for win number one. Overbrook got the only goal they needed in the first half for the 6-1 win. Tolman scored twice and had three assists for the home victory.
In this Olympic Conference meeting, both of these teams were not starting the season off the way they wanted. Getting a win would give their team some sort of moral victory and let them celebrate finally a win. The Rams were the first team to score a goal in the first half. Highland didn't just lay down and give up after that goal. The Tartans kept the pressure on Overbrook, but could not convert on their scoring opportunities. The Rams lead at the half by the score of 2-0 and never looked back.
Overbrook got two goals from Jim Dougherty and Doug Tolman, one goal from Nick Tedesco and Chris Farmer. Eddie Williams came up big in the net for the Rams and only allow one goal into the net. Highland's Chris Kennedy scored the lone goal for the Tartans.
