Moorestown scored three goals in the final seven minutes of the game to rally to defeat Eastern 3-1 in action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Eastern goaltender Evan Cohen did everything he could in facing 62 shots and not allowing a goal until the seven minute mark of the final period. Earlier in the game he made several point blank saves to keep the game scoreless. Moorestown goalie Keith Mulligan was doing his part stopping all 28 Eastern shots through two periods. The Vikings broke through early in the third period after some hard work by Jon Hayes and Eric Miller to keep the puck in the zone, with Joel Romberger scored his first goal of the season.

Cohen made several key saves including stoning Jarrod Clark from in close. Moorestown continued the pressure and with just over seven minutes left in the game, once again Clark was stopped down low, but this time Chris Martin was there to put home the rebound and tie the game at 1-1. With momentum now on their side, Moorestown broke through three minutes later as Clark was alone along the right side of the net and he jammed home the puck on the short side for a 2-1 lead. Eastern could not get the equalizer and Ben Smith added an empty net goal for the 3-1 final.

Notes: Former Moorestown standout TJ Brennan has made the roster of the St. Johns Fog Devils, in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Playing defense, TJ has appeared in all 11 games with 1goal and 7 assists.
