Power Play Goal has Moorestown fit to be Tied

Chris Martin connected on the power play midway through the third period as Moorestown rallied to tie Cherokee at 2-2 in Tier 1 action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. After a scoreless first period, Matt Cardillo gave Cherokee a 1-0 lead with Justin Kinniry assisting. Moorestown tied the game at 1-1 less than three minutes later as Mike Harrigan beat Joe Allen.
With both teams playing a tight checking game, Angelo Di Battista was set-up by Jake Davis late in the period to give Cherokee a 2-1 lead heading into the third period. Colin Higgins, in nets for Moorestown kept Cherokee off the board in the third period stopping all twelve shots and Moorestown escaped with the tie thanks to Martin’s goal.
