It's never fun getting ready for a game and then you're told that it has been cancel. Moorestown has fallen victim to bad weather postponing most of their earlier scheduled games. With Riverside visiting the hungry Quakers, Moorestown exploded and scored in every inning. Moorestown got home runs from Spencer Gaskill, Ian Palumbo and Derek Gaul to highlight their 15-4 win against the Rams from Riverside.
In the Liberty Division, Rancocas Valley has been on top in the Burlington County League. Moorestown evened their division record (3-3) when they handed Rancocas their first divisional loss of the season earlier this week. Derek Gaul who drove in seven RBI and slamming two home runs in that 10-7 victory highlighted that game. This game was another big challenge for the Quakers to prove themselves how good they were late in the season.
Moorestown wasted little time putting the runs on the scoreboard. Riverside jumped out to a 1-0 lead in their top half of the first inning before the Quaker's came right back to take the lead. Starting pitcher Jim Callahan watched his team give him a 5-1 advantage after the first inning. Derek Gaul and Spencer Gaskill belted home runs in the inning. Those runs proved to be enough to defeat the Rams. Ian Palumbo highlighted the third inning with his 3 run shot over the fence to extend Moorestown's lead to 12-1.
