By now, most of the soccer world should have heard about a small high school in Burlington County getting their school recognized. Life Center Academy High School has started their boy's soccer season with seven wins and no loses. But more impressively, they have won 35 straight games without a loss. On this day, the Warriors added one more win to their winning streak as Mike Lasme accounted for all the goals scored in this game. Life Center Academy won by the score of 3-0 against the visiting Florence Flashes.
Playing in the Penn Jersey League, the Warriors compete against some small Christian, local tech schools from Pennsylvania and high schools from Burlington County. But don't let their schedule give you the impression that they are not a competitive soccer team. Coach Art Steffen has great pride in the accomplishments his soccer team has achieved and not to take their winning streak lightly.
Florence Township entered this game knowing well that they could be the team to end this fabulous winning streak. Leading scorer Mike Lasme used his size and speed to net Life Center's first goal to the right of the keeper. With that goal in the first half, the Warriors were allowed to keep the pressure on Florence stopping them from getting a chance to put a shot on the net. The Life Center players seem to dwarf over their opponents has their height complement their strength in battling for the ball.
Life Center's keeper Dwayne Watson gobbled up any shot on goal for the shutout. Lasme completed the scoring for the Warriors by netting two more goals. The winning streak was now at 36 wins and Life Center Academy could celebrate another victory for their school.
