When the whistle is blown indicating the start of the game, all of the pre-game preparations by the coaching staff finally would get executed on the field. Highland knew they would have a tough time against one of the leagues' leading scorers in Kim Brozosky. Trying to keep up with her throughout the entire game wouldn't be easy and it wasn't. The senior from Clearview Regional dominated her position during both halves of this Tri-County Conference Royal Division field hockey game. Brozosky added four more goals to her 17 season total helping the Lady Pioneers pick up the 5-0 victory at Highland.
Clearview didn’t waste anytime taking control of this game. Meryl Setter recorded the game’s first goal at the 25:32 mark. Brozosky assisted on the goal. Highland had a real good scoring chance after that goal when Sarah Deluca put a good shot on goal. Ava Gudonis stood tall inside the cage stoning Deluca’s shot in close range. Brozosky eliminated any chance of an upset when she scored twice before the half giving the Pioneers a 3-1 advantage. Setter and Jen Anzuena assisted on those goals.
With the division leading Kingsway and Cumberland in your division, every win counts when looking to advance into the post season. The second half of this game pretty much started like the first, with Clearview taking control of the field position. Brozosky scored early and late to push the Pioneers record to 6-3-1.
