Highland Powers Past Edgewood 24-9

Highland Regional power running back Brant Tyson rushed for 150 yards on 8 carries and scored a touchdown to lead the attack against the Eagles of Edgewood. On Highland's second possession, Highland's QB connected with WR Andrew Frazier for a 40 yard gain. On the next play, he found an open receiver that took the ball down to the Eagles 3-yard line. The drive was capped by a 1 yard run by fullback Alto Saba.

The Eagles offense struggled to score in the first half but managed a 36-yard field goal by Abner Tsadick.

In the second half, Highland's Defense intercepted a pass form Edgewood's Nick Rosetti. This gave the Highland Tartan's offense the ball on the Eagles 25 yard line and they made it pay. Alto Saba capped the drive with a 2 yard run giving the Tartans a commanding 17-3lead in the third quarter. Highland dominated the second half causing two more Eagles turnovers. In the fourth quarter, Highland's final score came when tailback Brant Tyson raced untouched 44 yards for the score. The Eagles struck late in the fourth quarter. QB Nick Rositti connected with WR Kyle Murray with a 42-yard TD pass. Highland improved to 2-2 and the Eagles dropped to 2-2.
