It was the day after the highly anticipated non-league game against West Deptford was over. The Rams from Gloucester Catholic had defeated the undefeated Eagles the night before and had to put that game behind them has they were hosting yet another successful baseball team. The Crusaders from Delsea found out quickly how focused a baseball team can be. The Rams jumped out to a seven run lead after the first two innings were completed and continued to separate themselves from their opponent. When this game ended, Gloucester Catholic had picked up their eleventh win in a row by defeating the Crusaders by a 13-3 margin.
Delsea was in second place in the Tri-County Conference Royal Division behind the Rams in the standings but the Crusaders knew extremely well the success Gloucester Catholic has been having this season. It all starts with good pitching and John O’Hara would do his part limiting any big rallies. Gloucester Catholic scored twice during their first at bat and then exploded for five more runs during the second inning. Delsea would get two of those runs back in the third inning, but it would be the fifth inning that finally ended this game. Vinny Dammann highlighted this game with a two run home run and a two run double for Gloucester Catholic.
