Kingsway has been dominating the opposition all season long and only has a few more regular scheduled games to maintain their unbeaten streak. Five games ago, Kingsway battled to a one all tie with Eastern. Since then, no team has scored a goal against their defense. The Lady Dragons were matched up with the Lions from Gloucester in a Tri-County Conference interdivisional game. Gloucester had no answers to the two goals scored in the first half and one in the second. Abby Smith led the Dragons with two of the three goals scored in this game.
Gloucester has been winning the games they needed to down the stretch as they were chasing Glassboro in the Classic Division. Wins over Penns Grove, Delsea and a tie against Schalick have given the Lions some momentum late in the season. Kingsway, on the other hand, has already wrapped up the Royal Division title and were looking to extend their unbeaten streak.
Abby Smith put Kingsway ahead early when Amber Limanni assisted in the goal at the 27:23 mark of the first half. The two got together against about 8 minutes later and Kingsway led to the midway point 2-0. During the second half, it was Limanni this time finding the back of the cage with her shot. Dana Ramsden assisted on the final goal of the game. Catherine Upperman had an easy time seeing limited action and recorded yet another shutout for the Dragons.
