By Boog Williams On October 7, the Edgewood Eagles traveled to play the Cherry Hill East Cougars. Cherry Hill East won the game by the score of 2-0. The first half ended with the score 0-0. In the second half, East got goals by Brett Burman and Jeremy Roseman. Brett Burman scored with 39:01 left in the half and Jeremy Roseman with 16:14 left. Edgewood's Keeper Keith Swingle had 16 saves, while East's Keeper Dan DiBruno had 9 saves in the shutout. On October 9, The Eagles played at Highland. The Eagles won the game 4-2. In the first half, Edgewood's Cohen scored with an assist from Blackmore with 35:42 left in the half. Highland's Morolitti scored with an assist from Newshel at 18:24 left in the half. The half ended with the score 1-1. In the second half, Edgewood's Cohen scored two more to give him the hat trick and gave Edgewood a 3-1 lead. Blackmore and Keegan assisted Cohen's goals with 34:10 and 14:55 left in the half. Edgewood's Walker scored on a penalty kick with 11:48 left to make the score 4-1. Highland's Genlili ended the scoring on a penalty kick with 2:03 left. This game had three penalty kicks. Edgewood's Keeper Swingle made a great save on one, with his total of 12 for the game. Highland's Keeper Palma had 17 saves on the day. Next up against Edgewood was Gloucester Twp. Tech. The Eagles won by the score of 8-0. Edgewood's Keeper Swingle made 2 saves in recording the shutout. Gloucester Twp. Tech's Keeper Mark Martini made 25 saves. The goals scored in the first half were by Geary, Cohen, Banks, and Walker. Assists were given to Blackmore, Keegan, Walker, and Simmons. In the second half, goals were scored by 2; by Cohen (giving him his second hat trick this week) and by Blackmore. Cohen's goals were both assisted by Walker and Blackmore's goals were both unassisted.
