Christopher Ball scored four goals to lead the Eastern Vikings over Timber Creek 11-1 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Moved up to the top line to replace Brandon Tunstill who missed the game, Ball found himself playing alongside two of the top three scorers in the league in Sean Sullivan and Anthony Orner and he was able to capitalize on his opportunities. The Vikings are getting contributions from all three lines, and each accounted for the six goal first period. After Ball put home a shot by Orner to open the scoring, Joey Johnstone ripped a shot home from the slot to put Eastern up 2-0.
Orner set up Anthony DeFino on the power play as he drew the defenseman over on a break and slid the puck to DeFino who buried his shot for a 3-0 lead. Goals by Rory Levenson, Sullivan and Ball capped a period where Eastern launched twenty-one shots and led 6-0. Lanny Frederick gave Timber Creek a lift as he scored early in the second period, but goals by Ball and DeFino saw the lead swell to 8-1. Orner, Ball and Danny Tavana added the remaining goals as the Vikings remained unbeaten and in a first place tie with Rancocas Valley.
