Balanced scoring has been the key to Eastern’s success this year and in their latest victory, a 7-1 win over Cherry Hill East, they had seven different players score. Sean Sullivan led the Vikings attack with a goal and two assists. Joey Johnston opened the scoring on the power play as he went end-to-end skating through the defense and scored from in close. Sullivan made it 2-0, also on the power play, as the Vikings spent most of the power play in the offensive end, with Brandon Tunstall and Anthony Orner working in the corners to keep the play alive. Tim Woods cut the lead to 2-1 midway through the second period, however Mike Kondrla won the center ice face-off and scored ten seconds later and Eastern led 3-1.
Goals by Tunstall and Rob Nevitt ninety seconds apart put the game out of reach at 5-1 late in the period. Dan Tavana and Orner added goals in the third period and the Viking remained unbeaten with the 7-1 victory.
